Valparaiso High School Wins DAC All Sports Award for Both Boys and Girls Sports Valparaiso High School achieved an impressive milestone, winning the Duneland Athletic Conference (DAC) All Sports Award for both boys and girls sports for the 2023-2024 school year. This award is given to the school with the top composite DAC standings across 10 boys sports and 10 girls sports. The girls teams secured the DAC All Sports Award for the third consecutive year, winning conference titles in Cross Country, Golf, and Track & Field, and also securing top-half finishes in 7 out of 10 girls sports. The boys teams brought home conference championships in Cross Country, Swimming & Diving, Baseball, Golf, and a share in a four-way tie for Basketball. Additionally, Valpo was in the top half of the conference in 7 out of 10 boys sports. Athletic Director Stacy Adams expressed his excitement and gratitude for the efforts that led to this achievement. "This accomplishment says a lot about the dedication and hard work of our athletes, the expertise and passion of our coaches, and the unwavering support of our school community and the entire Valpo Community. We are fortunate to have such a strong and supportive environment that contributes to to our teams' success." In ~50 years of the DAC All Sports Award, a single school has won both the boys and girls award within the same school year 27 times, with 21 of those secured by Valparaiso - the last coming in '05-'06.
